Speed skates Reidell boot Laser Plate, own a piece of history! Size 9 1/2 mens

Own a piece of roller skating history! I bought these skates in the 1980's. They were hand built by the inventor of the laser plate, Ernest "Brad" Brandner himself. His design had just completed the initial product casting and testing with Dupont plastics.

See the old style laser skate co. (The location is now known as "Astro Skate" on goldenrod road, located in Orlando, Florida) Each week we would drop in and say hello, unless they were in Winconsin, where he and his business partner had their business. Brad was also heavily involved with opening an outdoor track in Couderay, Winconsin where people could train. The Bradners were truly amazing people and heavily involved in the skating industry. Brad had over 25 patents related to roller skating, he invented the lightweight laser composite skate plates and also invented the V-line inline skates, eventually passing in May of 1995 in his favorite town of Couderay. He was laid to rest in the Evergreen Cemetery. The bag with the outdoor wheels will also include a couple extra wheels I had. For the age, they are in great overall shape. The plates themselves are in superb condition, no chips, gouges or damage of any kind, never had any damage to the forward pin. The boots have some marks on them and the tongues need a set of new pads installed. Aside from installing the new tongue pads, you can slide on your favorite wheels and bearings and you're off to the races!

You could also keep this amazing piece of history for your collection, as not many of these original setups are available from the first run of Laser hard nose builds.
